Using evidence-based approaches to help you process trauma, build resilience and move forward with greater confidence and emotional balance. Whether you are dealing with recent events or long-standing issues, my goal is to work alongside you - at your pace, ensuring you feel heard, understood and ultimately empowered within your journey to live the life you want.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing  - EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing is a recognised psychotherapy approach to help process and recover from traumatic experiences.  Recommended by NICE for treating PTSD

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - CBT

An evidence-based approach recommended by the NHS and NICE for effectively treating common mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

Narrative Exposure Training NET 

NET is a type of treatment that helps people work through trauma by telling their story, putting difficult memories into order and making sense of them in a safe and supportive way

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS therapy is a really approachable way to get to know all the different parts of yourself and how they shape your life. The idea is that we all have different sides or “parts” inside us, and sometimes they clash or take over at tricky moments. IFS makes it easier to understand yourself and build a kinder, more positive relationship with yourself, helping those parts work together instead of against each other.

Where are the Therapy Sessions?

Face to Face 

Online 

Some prefer to have therapy within a face to face environment.  I have a private, welcoming and calming space in Low Fell, Gateshead for face to face sessions.

I deliver online sessions which are via Microsoft Teams or Bilateral Base (which is a specific EMDR platform).

 

If you would prefer to have your therapy online its essential that you have a private, safe space to get the most out of your session.

 

You will also need to have a good internet connection (at least 30mbps speed) and good quality sound either through headphones or your computer. 

If you would like to have an informal chat about the therapy services I offer or have questions before booking your first session,  I offer a free 15 minute consultation, this usually takes place over the phone. This also gives us an opportunity to make sure we are the right fit for one another to start your healing journey.
